Promise Acres Equine Rescue

Promise Acres is a participating facility for Horses for Heroes. Our mission is to make horseback riding affordable for, and accessible to, the heroes and their families in our communities from coast to coast. Through our national network of kid-friendly, family friendly facilities, we offer able-bodied, affordable horseback riding programs that emphasize fun and safe activities with horses, mounted and un-mounted for all ages. Participants learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, make new friends, and develop a passion for our western heritage and a lifelong love of horses! Our four core values emphasize Responsibility, Independence, Dedication, and Empathy. Working with and caring for horses teaches many important life and social skills and reinforces our core values that horses build character and will guide us to become empathetic, empowered people who will make responsible choices throughout their lives. Most important we believe that horses teach self-sufficiency, self-reliance, self-confidence, they boost your overall self-esteem and, convince yourself and others that YES, YOU CAN!

Lacey is a very young 22 year old Appendix mare that has been with us for nearly a year now. She came in with a serious injury (fractured corner of pelvic bone)
and has now fully recovered. She is sound for flat-work and is currently being ridden to be brought back into shape. She is easy to handle and likes attention.
Recommend Advanced beginner to intermediate rider. Lacey was a schooling horse
(from what we were told) prior to her injury.
Lacey is current on all care including teeth and her adoption fee is $250.
